A fact to be told, every year around 13 lakh students appear for CTET(Central Teacher Eligibility Test) and the candidate who qualifies the same can be appointed as a Government Teacher.

On the other hand, most of the students wonder if they can get into corporate jobs with a B.Ed.degree?

Ans: To pursue B.Ed. from Uttar Pradesh, applicant  must appear UP B.Ed. JEE entrance exams. It happens in

May-June.

And to apply in Haryana, there is no entrance exams, centralized counseling admission process is there on merit base. Applicant has to fill the online application form on the official website and seats would be allocated as per admission criteria in the B.Ed. colleges in Haryana.

Q: Is MBA/ PGDM is valid course to pursue B.Ed.?

Ans: Applicant who wishes to apply B.Ed., should have a degree course from a recognized university with passing marks 50-55 percent. PGDM consider as a diploma course.

B.Ed. from IGNOU University

Applicant may apply B.Ed. application in the IGNOU. Applicant has to appear for an entrance test as given details on the website IGNOU. Depends on rank in the merit list, applicant may secure admission with the 50 percent marks from non-technical programs in graduation or post-graduation and 55 percent marks in Bachelor’s in Engineering or Technology with specialization in Science and Mathematics .B.Ed. entrance exam conducts online mode with CBT( computer based test) only.

There is no age bar to apply B.Ed. in IGNOU.

Eligibility to get into B. Ed Program:

To pursue teaching as a career and moving forward to study towards it, a student must hold a Bachelor’s Degree like BA, BCA, BBA, B.Sc., Btech, and B.Com. A Student can still follow their teaching passion even after a Master’s Degree. 

Students must hold 50-55% in their graduation from a recognized university. 

Entrance Exams:

Talking about the Admission process, it depends on merit as well as on the entrance exam, while some institutions conduct an entrance exam to check the eligibility of the candidate for the program and some consider marks as a basis scored in bachelor’s and master degree.

Following this, a student needs to go through a counseling round as well.

This really depends on the person pursuing B.Ed. If the student wants to start career directly as a teacher, he/she may do that on the other hand, and they can also get expertise in their field and get a high-paying job.

Generally, the package lies between 2-3 lakhs annually, while experienced teachers with higher degrees can get up to 10 lakhs per annum.
