While PGDM is a Diploma Course, MBA is a Degree Course. MBA and PGDM are both Management-orientated courses. Hence, after the completion of PGDM, candidates are offered a Diploma, while MBA Graduates are offered a Degree.

Eligibility for PGDM

To be eligible for PGDM, a student must have a Bachelor’s Degree with at least 60% score or 6.5 CGPA. They also have to clear entrance examinations according to the University they are enrolling in. Students have to qualify for the national or state level entrance exams such as CAT, MAT, XAT, and others. 

Admission:

Admission depends upon the basis of management entrance exams conducted by the respective institute or group of institutes.

Candidates need to go through Interviews, Written Tests, and Group Discussions. 

Some Exams are Common Admission Test (CAT), Aptitude Test (MBA), Xavier’s Aptitude Test (XAT), Symbiosis National Aptitude Test (SNAP), Maharashtra Common Entrance Test (MAH-CET), NMAT by GMAC, Common Management Aptitude Test (CMAT).

Placement after PGDM:

Not each and every college provides direct placements to candidates in Big Companies but few reputed colleges and IIMs have significant tie-ups with Big Companies and hence provide campus placement with handsome packages to the most deserving candidates.
