Masters of Technology commonly known as M.Tech is common among Engineering students. This 2-year course helps students to emphasize on learning various technological aspects shortly and gives a better perspective towards the same.

M.Tech Eligibility 2021:
A candidate must have B.Tech. or B.E. Degree from a recognized University. Aspirants who have cleared M.Sc. degree in Science, Mathematics, Statistics, Computer Applications or equivalent can also apply. MCA aspirants are likewise qualified to apply for specializations accessible in sections of software engineering designing.
Merit depends upon the result of the Entrance Exam (GATE).
M.Tech Admission 2021:
Generally, Admission in M.Tech depends upon the State or National level exams, while some institutes conduct entrance examination as their own. Candidates must have scored 50% to 60% in their degree program.
After clearing the entrance exam, a student needs to go for counseling and personal interview rounds to evaluate the technical skills of the students.
Modes of M.Tech:
M.Tech being a practical subject cannot be pursued via Distance Learning or from Correspondence, but you can surely pursue a Part-time M.Tech.
Regular M.Tech is getting more preference over Part-time M.Tech as it is a practical-based course and can give you the best exposure.

Job Opportunities and Salary Packages:
After successful completion of M.Tech degree, a candidate can get appointed as Computer Science Engineer, Assistance Engineer, Software Engineer, Mechanical Engineer, Electronics Engineer, Mining Engineer, etc.
On the other hand, one can apply for UGC NET, and become a lecturer. Research is also a good option and candidates can pursue Ph.D. courses in their respective fields.
Salary Packages may vary from 6 lakh to 23 lakh per annum. It also depends on the field chosen by the candidate. Mostly, jobs and salary packages offered in the software industry are quite attractive. However, jobs are available after pursuing other specializations as well.
