B. Ed needs to have a 50-55% in bachelor’s or
master’s degree in commerce/science/social
science/humanities.Bachelor in Engineering or Technology with

1. Applicants must be a trained in-service
teacher working in the area of elementary
education.2. Those who have accomplished

JIMS B. ED Entrance Exam

Jamia Millia Islamia offers three B. Ed courses, the key features of Jamia Millia Islamia B. Ed Entrance exam are;

Courses Bachelor of Education, B.Ed. (Nursery Education)
and B.Ed.(Special Education)
Eligibility for B. Ed Exam Undergraduate Degree with a 50-55%(approx.)
(except B.A./B.Sc. vocational courses).OR Bachelor’s
Degree with a minimum of 45%
except for B.A./B.Sc. (vocational) programs
and at least 50-55% in the Master’s Degree Examinations
in any of the school-taught academic disciplines. 
Note: Applicants from commerce backgrounds
must possess an M Com Degree with at least 50% marks.

DU B Ed Entrance Test

Delhi University has four courses for B. Ed for which they conduct the DU B. Ed entrance test. More information is given in the following table:

Eligibility for B. Ed Exam Candidates need to fulfil the following prerequisites: 
1. Must have a Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in
Science, Humanities, and Commerce with 50-55% of marks.
Further, candidates with degrees of B. Tech/ B.E degree
[55-60% of marks with specialization in
Science and Mathematics] are eligible for admission.OR
55-60% of marks in an undergraduate degree
in Engineering or Technology or else in any
specialization in Science and Mathematics
with 50-55% marks or equivalent qualification.2. 
Eligibility for choosing Subject
Category & Teaching Subject:
Candidate must choose one subject category
and only one teaching subject

BHU B. Ed Entrance Test

Banaras Hindu University offers two B. Ed courses have specific subject-related criteria for eligibility following table shows more about the eligibility criteria.

B. Ed. (Bachelor of Education [Special]-1 year
Eligibility for B. Ed Exam Graduate with a minimum aggregate mark
of 50-55% under 10+2+3 pattern [including graduation]
considering all the subjects in three years except
those where only passing marks are required and
which are not counted towards the total in
the final (degree) mark sheet.

OR M.A./M.Sc./M.Com./Acharya with at least
50-60% marks in aggregate.

 Eligibility Criteria for B. Ed Entrance Exam

We have talked about the eligibility criteria of some individual universities, now we’ll talk about some basic eligibility criteria for the B. Ed entrance exam.

  • Education Qualification: 

The primary education qualification requirement for pursuing B.ED is that one should have completed his or her graduation in any stream. But some colleges have criteria that an individual must have graduated with at least 50% Aggregate marks at the UG level.

  • Age limit:

Since it is a course one can pursue after graduation, some colleges have kept a minimum age limit to more than 19 years, but the majority of colleges don’t have any age bar i.e., you can pursue B.ED whenever you want after you have completed a Graduation.
