VITEEE Exam (Everything You need to know)
VITEEE counselling 2023 started on the 8th of July, Vellore institute of technology declared the VITEEE result 2023 on its official website on the 7th of July. only those who qualify for the VIT engineering entrance exam 2023 with a minimum VITEEE cutoff mark are only eligible to participate in the counselling process. Candidates must visit the respective VIT in person for document verification.
INTRODUCTION
Vellore Institute of Technology’s engineering entrance exam(VITEEE) is a standard entrance exam test conducted by the Vellore Institute of Technology(VIT) to give admission to engineering courses in various VIT colleges.
Various VIT colleges are VIT Bhopal, VIT Vellore, VIT Chennai and VIT Andhra Pradesh.
VIT also introduced a new section in its entrance exam, which is taken to check the aptitude of the candidates.
Before the addition, the entrance exam consists of maths, physics, English, chemistry, and aptitude for the B.Tech course and Biology, Physics, English, chemistry and aptitude for bio stream programmes.
The questions in the entrance exams are mostly from the NCERT books for the subjects- Biology, chemistry, physics and Maths.
The foundation for the entrance exam can be established with the help of NCERT books.
In the English section, questions related to comprehension, grammar and vocabulary-based questions are asked to the students.
The aptitude section of the VITEEE consists of ten questions, which are used to check the student’s Numerical and verbal ability.
This section will include topics like Data Interpretation, Data sufficiency, syllogism, Number series, coding-decoding, etc.
VIT Vellore is one of the top institutes in India for B.Tech and Biology programmes.
Candidates who have secured minimum aggregate marks of 55-60% approximately in Physics, chemistry and mathematics/biology in the qualification exam are eligible to apply to the various VIT colleges.
The VITEEE exam is an online exam with a test duration of 2 hours and 30 minutes.

A total of 125 multiple-choice questions are asked in the VITEEE exam.
For every correct answer, 1 mark is awarded to the student, there is no negative marking in the VITEEE exam.

VITEEE Exam Eligibility Criteria 2023
Candidate should satisfy the eligibility criteria for the VITEEE 2023 before applying for the VIT engineering entrance exam 2023.
As per the eligibility criteria of VITEEE 2023, Indian Nationals,
NRI and Foreign National candidates are eligible for the VITEEE 2023, below are the complete eligibility criteria for VIT 2023.
VITEEE 2023 Eligibility Conditions
- Nationality- the candidate should be a resident/ Non-resident Indian National. PIO and OCI holders are also eligible to apply for the VITEEE 2023. Foreign candidates can also apply through the foreign category.
- Age limit- the maximum age limit for the exam is 22 years.
- Qualifying examination- candidates should have appeared for any of the following in the year 2023, in any of the following examinations:
- 10+2 of the higher secondary exam.
- Intermediate or two-year pre-university exam conducted by a recognised board/university.

VITEEE 2023 Qualifying Marks
Candidates who have secured minimum aggregate marks of 55-60% approximately in Physics, chemistry and mathematics/biology in the qualification exam are eligible to apply to the various VIT colleges. This eligibility criterion is for the candidates of the general category.
Candidates who have secured minimum aggregate marks of 45-50% approximately in Physics, chemistry and mathematics/biology in the qualification exam are eligible to apply to the various VIT colleges. This eligibility criterion is for candidates of the following categories:
- Candidates of the scheduled tribe and scheduled caste category.
- Candidates hailing from Jammu and Kashmir/ Ladakh and the North Eastern states of Assam, Arunachal Pradesh, Meghalaya, Manipur, Nagaland, Mizoram, Sikkim and Tripura. Certificate to prove the community should be there at the time of counselling, if the candidates fail to present the certificate, they will not be considered for admission.
