What is UPSEE (UPCET)?

UPSEE stands for “Uttar Pradesh State Entrance Examination” is renamed with UPCET (Uttar Pradesh Combined Entrance Test). This exam is conducted to get admissions in the Graduate/Post graduate degree programs in the Institutes which are affiliated with Dr. A. P. J. Abdul Kalam Technical University(AKTU), Madan Mohan Malviya University of Technology(MMMUT), and in other universities of Uttar Pradesh.

About UPSEE ( UPCET) 2021:

UPSEE is renamed by NTA and changed to UPCET, is a state-level computer-based entrance test for candidates who are seeking for admission in various UG and PG courses.

Qualifying this exam will grant admission to various courses like Bachelor of Pharmacy (B.Pharma), Bachelor of Technology (BTech) Lateral Entry, Bachelor of Design (B.Des), Bachelor of Business Administration (BBA), Master of Business Administration (MBA), etc.

UPSEE (UPCET) 2021 Postponed:

NTA extended the last date to apply for the same till May 31st, 2021. This exam was supposed to be conducted on June 15, 2021, has been postponed. The new exam date of UPCET 2021 will be announced soon on the official website itself.
Application forms for correction are available from June 2nd  to June 8, 2021. Aspirants are requested to visit the official website (upcet.nta.nic.in) for further information.

UPCET 2021 Eligibility Criteria for UG:

There are certain stages of eligibility that an aspirants needs to be clear in order to pursue their desired program from AKTU. There is no age limit to apply for the same.

Eligibility depends upon the course that one opts for, like if the student wants to pursue B.Pharma/ B.Des/ BHMCT/ B.Voc/ BFA/ BFAD/ MCA (Integrated)/ MBA (Integrated), then he/she should have passed the HSC exam or any equivalent Degree from recognized Institute.

UPCET 2021 Eligibility Criteria for Post Graduation:

For pursuing PG Degree like MCA/ MBA/ M.Sc./ M.Tech, the candidate must have attained an U.G. Degree from a recognized University.

UPCET 2021 Application form process:

For application forms, students need to check on the official website and fill their forms from there. Candidates will be required to pay the required application fee online through debit/credit cards, net banking, UPI, or Paytm.

UPCET 2021 Admission process:

Students are given admission on the basis of their performance in UPCET scores all over UP, in the public and private Institutions affiliated from AKTU. A candidate will get admission in B.Tech in any of the recognized college from AKTU only on the basis of JEE Mains exam but not on the basis of UPCET.

Once the aspirants qualifies for the exam, they are eligible for the counseling process for admission to their courses. Based on the performance of candidate, a merit list will be prepared. Aspirants who will be at the top of the merit list would be asked for the document verification process.

Q: How to get into AKTU for B.Tech Course?

From the academic year 2021-22, UPCET  will no longer be used for admission into B.Tech courses in the Uttar Pradesh. Now student’s admission  will be granted  based on JEE Main scores.
