IIT Kharagpur

Indian Institute of Technology (IIT) Kharagpur established by 18th Aug, 1951 and IIT kharagpur is the well known college in engineering and holding 4th  ranks category by NIRF ranking. At the time of starting college has 200 plus freshers  and 40 plus teachers in the first session .IIT Kharagpur started only 10 departments and later on more departments have added. Now IIT Kharagpur having more than 500 faculties, more than 1500 employees and above 8500 students on the campus. IIT Kharagpur offers undergraduate, postgraduate, dual-level, and doctoral programs in many specializations.

In IIT Kharagpur, they offer  B.Tech, B.Arch., Integrated, LLB, LLM, M.Tech., MCP, M.Sc., MBA, EMBA, MMST, and Ph.D. According to NIRF current ranking there are 9 IITs in India and all are in the top 10 position. Enroll to undergraduate and post graduate courses in IIT Kharagpur are conducting through written examination test. IITs undergraduate courses ,admissions are based on the students marks in the respective national level entrance exams such as JEE Mains, JEE Advanced, GATE, JAM, CAT, etc. Those Students qualify for admission via IIT-JEE can apply for undergraduate course

For (SC/ ST ) reserved seats are 7.5-15% of the total seats and 27% separate reservation are available for other backwards classes. Candidates enroll in IITs from India and outside of India and scholarships are also available for international students.

IIT Kharagpur has consistently setting a new bench mark to improve standards in higher engineering education in the last sixty years. Postgraduate degree programs at IIT Kharagpur lead to Joint MTech / MCP-PhD, MBA and MMST degrees. In addition, the Institute also offers Integrated MSc programs and Joint MSc-PhD programs.
