BITS Pilani

The Birla Institute of Technology & Science, BITS Pilani is an all-India Institute for higher education. The Birla Institute of main purpose is to “train young students able and eager to create and put into action including ideas, processes, techniques, and information”. The Institute is a fantasy come true of its founder late Mr. G.D.Birla — an eminent industrialist, a participant at the Indian freedom struggle, and a close associate of the Father of Indian Country late Mr. Mohandas Karamchand Gandhi (Mahatma Gandhi). What began in the early 1900s as a small school, blossomed into a set of colleges for higher education, ranging from the Humanities to Engineering until 1964 when all these schools amalgamated to conclude a unique Indian University of global standing. This institution was baptizing as the Birla Institute of Technology and Science, Pilani, known to many as BITS, Pilani. 

Over time, BITS has provided the highest quality specialized education to pupils from all around India acknowledged based on virtue. Its graduates may be seen around the globe in every area of engineering science, and trade. BITS symbolize the creating of Indian technical capacity and “can-do” entrepreneurial spirit, especially based on the private industry. BITS is found in the Vidya Vihar campus adjacent to the town of Pilani in Rajasthan.
