BBA Admission Overview

Bachelors of Business Administration, popularly known as BBA, is a three-year-long undergraduate program that enables and lets an entrepreneurial mindset groom well have impeccable knowledge in Marketing, Sales, and Finances.

BBA imparts knowledge regarding Macroeconomics, Principles of Management, Human Behavior & Ethics at the Workplace, Management Accounting, Banking & Insurance, etc.

This course prepares a student to be in leadership goals and lead the team.

Admission in BBA is granted direct or entrance-based. Generally, it is done based on class 12th results. Students of any stream can apply for this course. A student must have scored a minimum of 50 per cent to get into BBA College.

Being an administrative course, BBA has several options in Specializations that students can choose as per interest and carry on with their management career. 

Several Specializations like Finance, Hotel Management, Hospitality, Aviation, IT, Marketing, Tourism, Computer Applications, etc., are available in BBA. 

Marketing: 

This field deals with the concept of business and its management. Marketing is one of the most common specialization field chosen among students. 

After BBA with Marketing, your job profiles can be Market Research Analyst, Advertising Executive, Marketing Executive, Sales Manager, etc.

The average salary package offered is 4 to 6 lacs per annum. 

Finance:

This Specialization involves more of banking, investing and insurance sector. After completion of BBA, Finance students can opt for MBA in finance for further qualification.

After BBA with Finance, your job profile can be Finance Manager, Business Analyst, Financial Analyst, Personal Financial Advisor, etc. 

The average salary package offered is 4 to 6 lacs per annum.

Modes of BBA

A student can go in graduation for BBA through various modes of study like Distance, Regular, or Part-time. Though regular BBA is the most common mode, many aspirants chose distance and part-time according to their convenience.

In Regular BBA, Insurance, Investments, HRL, LLB are some popular fields. Average fees for regular BBA are around 30k to 45k per annum. 

While, part-time course is a better option, for someone who cannot attend regular classes with the same curriculum as regular courses. The average fees for part-time BBA are 20-30k per annum.

Admissions are based either merit-based or can be granted directly. 

Students must be between 17 to 22 years of age for the general category, while for ST/SC/OBC admissions till 24 years of age. 

Students must have scored a minimum of 50% in their HSC exams, while some colleges require a 60% of the score.

To get admission in BBA, the candidate must have passed HSC with a minimum of 60 percent in any stream from a recognized board. 

As the admissions are also based on Entrance, there’s a vast range of competition. 

Entrance exams like NMIS NPAT, IPU CET, DU JAT are conducted for BBA. 

IPU CET is a national-level entrance exam conducted in Engineering, Medical, Law, and Management. DU JAT is conducted once every year, and admissions are based on the merit and results of class 12th.

After the successful graduation in BBA, students generally opt for MBA, which some chose to explore job opportunities and get in-hand experiences.
